- Who is searching
- Students and parents choosing a course before an admission window.
- How they search
- Demand is seasonal and course-specific — people search the exam or skill plus a locality ('data analyst course in mumbai with placement'), then compare reviews and ask AI assistants for the 'best' option.
- What wins
- One page per course that genuinely answers fees, duration, placement and batch timing; Maps presence for the institute's area; and review volume that peaks before admission season, not after it.
SEO by industry — because every sector searches differently
Searchmetric is a Mumbai-based SEO, AEO and GEO agency working with six industries: coaching and training, B2B manufacturing, SaaS, finance and professional services, restaurants, and e-commerce. Each page below explains how buyers in that industry search on Google, Google Maps and AI assistants — and what it takes to be the business they find.
- Who is searching
- Engineers and procurement teams shortlisting suppliers.
- How they search
- Low search volume, very high intent. Buyers type technical specifications and 'manufacturers in India' lists, and they search nationally, not locally.
- What wins
- Specification-level product pages, technical content that answers the engineer's question, and being named on the lists and directories that AI answers draw their supplier shortlists from.
- Who is searching
- Founders, operators and teams evaluating software.
- How they search
- The valuable searches are bottom-of-funnel — 'X alternative', 'X vs Y', 'best tool for…' — and increasingly they are asked of ChatGPT and Perplexity rather than Google.
- What wins
- Honest comparison and alternative pages, topical authority around the problem the product solves, and third-party mentions that make an AI assistant confident enough to recommend the product.
- Who is searching
- Individuals and small businesses looking for a CA, accountant or advisor they can trust.
- How they search
- A 'Your Money or Your Life' category: Google and AI engines both demand strong evidence of who is giving the advice before they rank or cite it.
- What wins
- Named, credentialed authors, accurate compliance-aware content, consistent business details across the web, and local visibility for practices that serve a specific city.
- Who is searching
- Diners deciding where to eat, usually on a phone, usually nearby.
- How they search
- Almost entirely 'near me' and map-pack driven, with cuisine and occasion modifiers. Aggregator listings compete for the same clicks.
- What wins
- A complete, photo-rich Google Business Profile, steady recent reviews, crawlable menu and cuisine pages on your own site, and a fast mobile experience.
- Who is searching
- Shoppers comparing products and prices.
- How they search
- Category and product-attribute searches, plus AI shopping answers that summarise options before the click.
- What wins
- Clean category architecture, product schema that matches the page, unique product copy, and technical hygiene at catalogue scale.
Industry SEO — your questions
Which industries does Searchmetric work with?
Searchmetric currently works with coaching institutes and training providers, B2B and industrial manufacturers, SaaS companies and startups, finance and professional-services firms, restaurants and cafés, and e-commerce brands. Each has a dedicated page explaining how search works in that industry.
Which industries don't you work with?
We retired our healthcare and real-estate verticals in 2026. We would rather say that plainly than keep pages for work we no longer take on. If your industry isn't listed, ask — our core SEO, AEO and GEO services apply to most businesses, but we'll tell you honestly if we're not the best fit.
Why does industry-specific SEO matter?
Because the search behaviour is different. A coaching institute competes on seasonal course searches, a manufacturer on low-volume technical queries, a SaaS company on comparison searches and a restaurant on the Maps top three. The same generic SEO package applied to all four would miss what actually drives enquiries in each.
Do industry pages cover AI search (AEO and GEO) too?
Yes. Every industry page covers how customers in that sector use ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and what it takes to be cited or recommended there. AI answers vary by prompt, model and date, so we measure them repeatedly rather than treating one answer as a ranking.
