01Delhi is several markets pretending to be one
The single most expensive mistake in Delhi SEO is targeting 'Delhi'. Someone searching in Nehru Place, Karol Bagh, South Extension, Laxmi Nagar and Dwarka is in five genuinely different competitive environments, with different price expectations, different competitor sets and often different languages of search.
A budget spread evenly across all of them buys thin visibility everywhere and dominance nowhere — which converts at close to zero. We start by narrowing instead of broadening: identify the clusters where you can realistically be a top-three answer, build genuine intent for those, and deliberately ignore the rest until the first ones are won. It feels counterintuitive to deliberately not target most of a city that size. It is also the only approach that works on a normal budget in a market this deep.
